Our kids are so very fortunate! They are able to extend the Christmas season - due to the fact that they get Christmas in two different houses! This year, they were at their dad's for Christmas, so we celebrated a delayed Christmas with them when they returned on Sunday evening! As with any kids, they were so excited and anxious. They kept asking "When are we having Christmas at home?" I think they were hoping to have it before they went to their dad's, but with the weather how it was here, we decided to wait until after (secretly hoping that the roads would not permit us to travel so the kids would then be home for Christmas). And by the looks on Tommy's and Ryan's faces, they weren't very disappointed this year....
Tyler and Wendy were equally as pleased (maybe they were just happy to be back at home)!

Have you had a bowling tournament yet?
I'm a little slow, but, yes, a wonderful idea to wait until the children returned home from their dad's, as they were pretty excited to be back home, and then to have Christmas all over again.
How did we make it seeing off 5 children? Because we knew it was the right thing, and the knowledge and hope that Heavenly Father always blesses us when we do the right things for the right reason. From the notes we have
heard from Stephen, we know he is trying hard and will reap many blessings. This will be a choice time not only for him but for his family as well. Remember, we had one boy in Germany and the other in Japan for 14 months and were very anxious as these were the two countries in which we had the most wars. Blessings come from being obedient and trusting in the Lord, even when it seems tough. Doug, you know this more than anybody. You have truly been blessed with this family. We love you all.

We had a mini tournament last night! I think Monique and I are having more fun with the Wii than the kids!
